The green space at the top of Froxmere Road is owned by the Parish Council and is known as the Parish Garden. This space is lovingly tended year-round and lit up at Christmas by a group of volunteers to keep it looking beautiful for us all to enjoy. Thank you to everyone who has given up their time to do this.Recently, the railing around the garden has become rotten in places and needed to be replaced.
The Parish Council would like to sincerely thank John Brookes, Tony Field and Jeremy Thomas for their hard work in making this happen; particular thanks for inviting me to hammer in the last nail on the project. I don’t think I did too badly!
John, Tony and Jeremy planned the work required, obtained quotes and purchased the materials needed to replace it and then did the hard graft of digging holes for the posts and building a new one. I think you will agree they have done an excellent job that will look great for years to come.
The team asked for their thanks to be passed on to other parishioners, namely Ivan Treloar and Kim Brookes (no relation), for their kind loan of specialist tools, all of which have been most helpful. Words of encouragement and compliments from parishioners passing by were also appreciated!
